Notes to Notice

WISE RELATIONSHIPS

"He who walks with wise men shall be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed" (Proverbs 13:20).

Too many people have believed the satanic lie that we must welcome everyone into our lives. Today, the practice of qualifying relationships is very rare among Christians. We must know that every relationship has either a

positive or negative

effect on our lives.

Every person has a desire to be accepted. There is no one who enjoys being rejected and as a result many people have accepted wrong relationships out of fear or hurt. Negative people will bring hurt and pain into your life so you must be strong and reject them access into your life. Your success, happiness and wealth are dependent upon your ability to recognize a bad or good relationship. You cannot afford the high price of getting involved with wrong people. Understand that you will suffer both consequence and the rewards of those closest to you. Broken hearts could be avoided if you learn to keep the wrong people out of your life. Solomon said, "The companions of fools will be destroyed." The word, destroyed, here means death to your vision and purpose. Remember that every relationship is moving toward or away from your set vision and purpose of God. Never compromise your standards to let someone into your life. You must allow God principles to decide who comes into your life.

There are people occupying space in your life today that are not called by God. When you remove them, you make room for correct relationships to be formed and increase will come to your life.

Set the qualifications at God's standards and happiness will come into your life.

WHY, LORD, WHY?

One of the biggest obstacles to our contentment is constantly questioning the Lord. God doesn't mind us asking Him for specific answers when we're troubled. But He doesn't want us trapped in the questioning realm.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths"

When setbacks and adverse circumstances surround us, instead of asking why, let's put our trust in the Lord. We can't do anything about what has already happened, but we can fix our eyes on God's Word and press into Him. As we do, we will find peace and contentment. And God will bring us through to victory!

================================

THREE THINGS EFFECT OUR ATTITUDES:

1 the strongholds in our lives

2. our imaginations

3. our thoughts

When we cast down thoughts contrary to the Word of God, we are refusing to allow strongholds to develop in our minds. And we are able to maintain a positive attitude, knowing that God is well able to get us through any adversity.

LOOK IT UP! This principle comes from II Corinthians 10:4-5.

"Sometimes your medicine bottle has a sign on it that says; "Shake well before using." That is what God has to do with some of His people. He has to shake them well before they are ever useable."
